America's Post-War Choice:
Chevrolet Trucks were the first all-new designs of from any
manufacturer after World War II. The stylish "Advance Design" Chevy
trucks had a cleaner look featuring a larger and more rounded cab,
horizontal five-bar grille, single-piece rear-hinged hood design,
and permanent split windshield. A new fresh-air heater/defroster
system pumped used air out through vents at the rear of the cab.
Seats were wider and more comfortable, and visibility was improved
with a larger windshield, bigger side and rear windows and optional
rear-quarter windows.
Built Stronger to Last Longer: Ford's F-series trucks are the
best selling vehicle series ever produced. To date over 35 million
have been sold, dwarfing the Volkswagen Beetle (26 million) and
Model T (22 million). Anyone who ever owned one knows why-superior
comfort, power and dependability all at reasonable Ford prices.
